The morpho butterfly is being protected by people conserving wild life and wild places.

The morpho butterfly needs shelter on the forest floor, lots of food, and lots of juices from rotting or fermented fruit. The needs of the morpho butterfly are not being met because of deforestation. Humans cause deforestation to the morpho butterfly’s tropical ecosystem. The Amazon rainforest needs its native species to keep the ecosystem thriving.
